Can I include Batch or Production Recipes in my Physicals?

Q: Can I create a physical inventory for batch item or production recipes?

A: YES! Once the Batch or Production recipe is created, you will need to link this item to an Inventory Item so it has a SKU, then it can be uploaded to a Physical Inventory..

To complete this process please follow the steps below:

1. Create the Recipe. For additional information on how to create the recipe, click here.

2. Attach the Recipe to the Inventory item. For additional information on how to attach the recipe to an inventory item (aka. Kit item) see additional PDF attached below.

3. Create the Physical Inventory making sure to include the batch items and any other selected items.

4. Insert your counts or upload the ydimobile session(s).

5. Set the effective date and time. This time should be set for the time you completed the counting process.

6. Commit the physical inventory.

Q: Once the Physical Inventory is committed, what happens to the On hand amount for the batch or production items ?

A: At the time of committal, the amount in the "Total Counted" column, will become your new on hand amount.

Q: Will the ingredients be automatically depleted?

A: Yes, if there is a variance for the batch or production recipe in the Physical Inventory, the ingredients will be depleted from their on hand amounts even if these ingredient items are not part of the Physical Inventory.
